The Advocacy Association is proud to present the ‘Top Twenty in 20’, recognizing twenty (20) advocacy practitioners who have excelled in the practice of their profession during the last 12 months corresponding with National Advocacy Day on July 24th. We are proud to partner with FiscalNote and CQ Roll Call who are this year's Presenting Sponsor for this inaugural program.
Nominations officially open on July 24, 2020 (eligibility period of July 24, 2019 - July 23, 2020 for active advocacy and public affairs practitioners). The twenty recognized practitioners will be announced in fall 2020.
We are looking for practitioners who have shown aptitude in three areas during the eligibility period:
The Top Twenty in 20 is strictly intended to recognize association, non-profit, and corporate professionals who are practicing grassroots, public affairs communications, government relations, lobbying, digital advocacy, and policy development.
Vendors, agency professionals, and government employees are not eligible for consideration; however, they are encouraged to nominate clients, colleagues and/or friends in the advocacy profession who meet the eligibility requirements listed above.
HOW WILL NOMINATIONS BE REVIEWED?
Top Twenty in 20 nominations will be reviewed entirely by a committee of non-vendor industry practitioners from The Advocacy Association. They will select twenty (20) practitioners for recognition. Board members, their spouses, significant others, and their direct work colleagues or clients (if a board member practitioner undertakes side consulting work) will be ineligible for consideration to the Top Twenty in 20.
